The Animals of the house
We currently have 2 animals in the setting;
Simba is our cat, he has grown up with the children around and likes to spend the majority of his time curled up asleep, if he's indoors.
Wicket is our dog, he joined the family in May 2016 and is quite relaxed around the children, and loves to play.
Our animals are all in good health and are regularly fleaed, wormed and vaccinated yearly. Food is kept out of reach of the children and the litter tray is covered and again out of the children’s reach. The garden is checked and cleared daily and before children are allowed to play.
Both animals are very good with children, however are never left unsupervised, and the children in the setting are taught how to treat the animals with respect, how and when to stroke them and also reminded to wash their hands after touching them.
